North Carolina: Dairy Farm

My Aunt Kitzi's family owns a dairy farm in Statesville and we got to go visit and have a tour. Kennedy really enjoyed it and was really taking it all in. :)

North Carolina FUN!

North Carolina was a blast! We got to spend a lot of time chillaxin' at my Aunt, Uncle, and cousin's house. They have an awesome pool and a huge house that accommodates a lot of people. The three of us along with my sister, Erin and her family stayed with my PopPop at his house (a mile away) and my other sister, Kirsten and her family and my mom and dad stayed at my aunt and uncles. We got to spend a lot of fun time together just swimming in the pool and hanging out. Of course I baked every day we were there. I LOVE it! The kids were eating up all my cookies and bars so I had to continue! :) We went to the church one night for a fun carnival they had. It was a lot of fun with hot dogs, chips, homemade ice cream, cotton candy, and caramel apples. While we were at the church for the carnival my PopPop took us over to visit my Nana's grave. (She passed away when I was in 4th grade from Pancreatic cancer) Her ashes were buried there with a headstone. I know Nana is in heaven smiling down on us but it was very special to me for Ryan and Kennedy to be there to see it. What a blessed time it was. More pictures will come as we had four different cameras there taking all sorts of pictures.

San Antonio Vacation

San Antonio! Yay! It was vacation time.... where I grew up. My parents live in Helotes and my middle sister Erin and her husband Chris and two kids live in San Antonio only 7 miles from my parents. Keegan who is 2 1/2 and Brynnleigh who is 8 months old. Last year for the 4th we went down to San Antonio with Jon, Carrie, and Katie(our good friends). This year we decided to make it tradition and do it again! :) This time we had little Miss Kennedy in tow. Our good friends Scott and Brandi let us borrow their big Expedition so we could all 6 ride together. It was a blast! Katie is exactly 2 years older than Kennedy. Yep, that's right, friendship babies.. hehe both born on the 15th of March! We had a wonderful time with my family and even got to get our Mexican fix while we were down there. Ryan, Jon, Carrie, and myself ran the 4 mile race on the 4th of July morning while Nana Babbs watched Katie and Kennedy. We had a huge BBQ over at my sisters with tons of food! That was a lot of fun. Kennedy also got to go to the pool again! We even made it downtown to visit The Alamo!! Great times!

Yes, Ryan thought it would be funny to shave his goatee and leave only his mustache. I think he was the only one laughing! :)

California Vacation: San Francisco

Monday was our last day in California and we wanted our last day to be the best! What would be the best way to spend time in California..... yep... GIANTS GAME!!!! We left our hotel/house in Oakhurst late Monday morning and headed to our next hotel in Pleasanton. Pleasanton was about an hour away from the city and cheaper to stay. We got to the hotel and hung out for a little bit and then headed to San Francisco. We went to the Giants game that night and Kennedy LOVED it! She slept for about 30 minutes of the game and stayed awake the rest of the time. She really enjoyed her time and got to stay up late! As soon as we got in the car (about 11:30pm) she was out on the way back to the hotel.
This was her adorable smile when Daddy told her he was taking her to the Giants game

California Vacation: Yosemite

Sunday we went to back to Roger, Becky, and Kathy's house in Mariposa for the last family reunion scheduled event. They had an absolutely delicious breakfast with coffee cake, fruit, and amazing egg casseroles. After our breakfast and morning visit we headed to Yosemite. Ryan and I had been backpacking a few years prior but we were very excited to take Kennedy! She stayed back with Grammie, Auntie Kelli, and her cousins for a nap while we went and hiked (actually ran most of the way) to the top of Vernal Fall. It was absolutely beautiful and amazing. Takes your breath away. Sad that we couldn't take Kennedy up there with us but way to dangerous and steep. Maybe in a few years

California Vacation: Oakhurst and Yosemite Mtn. Sugar Pine Railroad

Saturday we spent the day out by the pool at our hotel. Ryan's parents got a room and on the hotel property there was this super cute 3 bedroom house that all the "kids" stayed in. It was so awesome because it was a great place for us to all hang out. That night we went to Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad. It was so much fun. They served us a delicious dinner and dessert and then we go to ride a few miles on the railroad to a campfire and sing songs then back on the railroad to the starting point. Kennedy's eyes go so BIG when the train tooted it's horn. She loved it. When we were going up a hill the train had to work so hard that the steam was blowing stuff off the trees onto all of us. It was quite humorous but we had to cover Kennedy up so she wouldn't get stuff in her eyes. What a FUN adventure for her.

With her other cousin Caden: This is Ryan's brother (Mike's son)
Mike's wife Julie and daughter Kaitlyn weren't able to make it due to Kaitlyn's swim competition: Caden LOVED Kennedy! It was real cute!
